The Revolution’s aerodynamic shape and unitized design uses friction-stir welding to add strength while reducing weight to allow for larger payloads and improved fuel economy. The patent-pending one-piece extruded aluminum side rail withstands impact damage better than its steel counterpart. Aluminum features include:

  • Aluminum main beams combined with an extruded aluminum floor to give support at a lower overall weight
  • Unitized construction for greater strength, durability and stability under load
  •  Friction-stir welding, proven technology from the aerospace industry, for superior structural integrity
  • Patent pending side rails that are stronger and lighter with a single extrusion routed design that resists impact damage better than steel

The Fontaine Revolution Hybrid
The Revolution Hybrid features steel main beams combined with an extruded aluminum floor for added strength and support delivering a lower overall weight; handling up to a 55,000 pound load concentrated in just four feet. Aluminum features include:

  • Steel main beams combined with an extruded aluminum floor to give support at a lower overall weight
  • Unitized construction for greater strength, durability and stability under load
  • Friction-stir welding, proven technology from the aerospace industry, for superior structural integrity
  • Patent pending side rails are stronger and lighter with single extrusion routed design that resists impact damage better than steel

PACCAR (Peterbilt)

Peterbilt's conventional models feature a precision-tooled, lightweight aluminum cab, a variety of suspension systems and a three-piece, 20-bolt crossmember/gusset unit for extra frame durability. Traditional aluminum features on Peterbilt trucks include:

  • The industry’s only all-aluminum hood, with a rugged stainless steel grille that features a distinctive punched oval pattern and a one-piece, polished aluminum crown
  • A lightweight all-aluminum cab with bulkhead style doors and lap seam construction provides toughness, corrosion resistance and years of virtually water-tight, rattle-free performance

East Manufacturing

MMX Flatbed
The MMX flatbed is rated to handle loads up to 72,000 pounds concentrated in 4 feet on a 48-foot long trailer, and up to 145,000 pounds distributed (multi-axle) - and is also available in lengths up to 53 feet. In a comparison of material sections of equal structural strength, the MMX's aluminum alloy weighs 56 percent less than high tensile strength steel, and 68 percent less than mild steel - but is just as strong.

Aluminum Truck Bodies
East Aluminum Truck Bodies uses premium aluminum alloys for flooring and side material for long life and durability. Featuring a unique wall design allowing for the addition of extra aluminum where needed for longer wear, and/or extra height for increased capacity, aluminum technology for smooth bottom frameless and frame-type dump trailers and East LITE-RIDE™ - an integrated weld-on aluminum suspension hanger that is 150 pounds lighter than a steel one and tested to be as strong as current steel hanger designs.

Genesis IITM Dump Trailers
The floor is a patented design that is stronger than the traditional cross-member design it replaces. It uses a new aluminum alloy that is stronger and more wear resistant. This design optimizes the trailer's strength-to-weight ratio, for optimum payload and maximum payback on investment. In addition, the "hollow" extruded floor panel design provides improved insulation opportunities to reduce the likelihood of loads freezing in the trailer. The new floor design allows a unitized wall – floor construction, which improves the torsional stiffness of the trailer. This reduces twisting during dumping, thus increasing dump stability and driver safety.
